The cooling effect is reached by the elements inside the rug, which at the determined temperature of 28° Celsius start to absorb warmth. The cooling elements absorb the warmth from the dog or from outer effects until the elements turn soft. This means that the cooling elements stay charged also in room temperature. The rug should be “re-charged” in room temperature 22° Celsius or below after use. When all elements are stiff again the rug is ready to be used again.
